The article was about a horse racing system that is based on backing the outsider in 3 horse races when the odds of the outsider are less than 25 to 1.
The system is pretty straight forward but it is surprisingly profitable.

I did a little bit of testing myself and also found that the system has an even greater ROI when you only use it in Non Handicap races.
If you have any theories of your own for a horse racing system, there is software you can use to back test the systems and see how they would have performed.
